The USA expressed their readiness to assist Ukraine in ensuring its energy security, as well as the stability of energy supplies.
This includes nuclear energy, according to the US Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Christina Queen.
According to a message published on the Ministry of Energy website, Queen met with Energy Minister German Galuschenko, during which the parties discussed the sustainability of Ukraine's heating season in the face of energy aggression from the Russian Federation.
In particular, Russia blocks the supply of coal by rail, and also significantly reduces the volume of transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, they talked about technical support and stable replenishment of fuel reserves in the context of the increased load on Energoatom.
Recall, at the beginning of November 2 021 Galushchenko stated that Ukraine has fuel reserves at nuclear power plants. According to him, they are designed for a year and a half of operation.
The Minister added that there is 46% of the annual demand for VVER-1000 units and 150% for VVER-440 units.
