A recently discovered war document warned that the risk of nuclear war was growing.
The document was published by the Federation of American Scientists. This is the latest revision of the manual that provides updated information on global military activity and guidance on how the US military should proceed.
The document says that the world is actively developing new nuclear weapons. In addition, there are more stressful situations that can escalate.
The authors of the document write that since 2010, not a single potential adversary has reduced either the role of nuclear weapons in their national security strategy, or their number. They also point the finger directly at Russia, North Korea and China, which continue to build up their nuclear arsenal. In addition, the authors are worried about Iran's potential to become a nuclear power in the future.
As for the United States, they are advised to maintain a more “flexible” position that will allow it to respond to threats.
