The State Border Service of Ukraine and the US Embassy have signed a joint action plan to enhance the security of the northern and eastern sections of the border.

– The project starts in January 2022, and the total amount of assistance is being considered in the amount of US $ 20 million, – said Sarah Langencomp.

As specified, the project provides for the possibility of providing the State Border Service with unmanned aerial systems, special vehicles, video monitoring equipment, communications, equipment, etc.

According to her, this project will help increase the efficiency of the State Border Service to protect the northern and eastern borders, as well as – for better counteraction to the emerging threats to the national security of Ukraine.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Guard Service Volodymyr Nikiforenko stressed that this is, first of all ed, about ensuring the urgent and priority needs of the line units of the state border, about protecting personnel and ensuring personal security.
