TASS, October 5. Users in the United States complained on Tuesday about problems with social networks Instagram and Facebook. Information about this appeared on the page of the Downdetector service, which tracks the work of popular Internet resources.
From the service schedule for October 5, in general, one can judge that Facebook and Instagram, as well as the WhatsApp messenger have not yet fully recovered from the outage that occurred on Monday: reports on Downdetector were observed throughout the day (although there was no major outage in WhatsApp on Tuesday fixed). To date, the number of complaints has grown slightly: Instagram's work in the US has been reported more than a thousand times, Facebook – almost 800.
There were few reports from other countries. An insignificant number of complaints about the operation of services come from Russia.
A large-scale failure occurred in the work of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other services on Monday. They did not function for more than six and a half hours. The problem was caused by an internal error by Facebook engineers when installing the update, which required manual changes to the databases.
