Even earlier, hundreds of American paratroopers arrived in Poland.

The United States will sell 250 Abrams tanks in the most modern version to Poland. Warsaw has already called it one of the most important defense contracts in the history of the country.

Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak announced this on his Twitter.

“The State Department has approved the sale of 250 Abrams tanks in the most modern version of the M1A2 SEPv3. This is a very important increase in our defense capability and one of the most important arms contracts in the history of Poland,” Blaszczak wrote.

Recall that hundreds of American paratroopers arrived in Poland on Wednesday, February 16, as part of the strengthening of NATO's military presence on the eastern flank.

In addition, eight American F-15 fighter jets arrived earlier in Poland as America and its NATO allies seek to bolster defenses on the Alliance's eastern flank.
