The office of the US special attorney became interested in the election campaign of US President Donald Trump and began an investigation into the use of him by the White House headquarters for their own purposes. It is reported by Reuters with reference to the member of the US House of Representatives, Democrat Bill Pascrell.
The congressman previously sent an urgent request to the special attorney's office, demanding a federal investigation into violations of the Hatch Act by the Trump administration. A 1939 law prohibits officials from making public political statements.
Pascrell said in a statement that the office responded to his request, saying that a special unit had launched an investigation to determine whether the Hatch Act was violated.
Earlier, the lawyer of US President Donald Trump Rudolph Giuliani said about possible plans to file a lawsuit in the elections at the federal level. Giuliani also promised to look for “dead souls” in the elections in Pennsylvania, specifically in Philadelphia.
In the United States, the counting of votes for candidates for the presidency of the country continues. Republican Trump and Democrat Joe Biden are fighting for the top post. On the day of the US general election, November 3, a vice president was also elected. In addition, 35 senators, the entire house of representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives are elected.
