US President Donald Trump announced the signing of a new trade agreement with China.
The United States of America has signed a trade agreement with China and plans to sign a similar deal with India.
US President Donald Trump stated this while speaking at the White House on June 26.
“We just signed an agreement with China,” Trump said.
He also clarified that the US intends to conclude a similar trade agreement with India in the near future.
At the same time, the American president noted that Washington will not necessarily reach an agreement with all countries.
“It's just going to send a message to certain countries: You're now paying 25-45% tariffs,” Trump said.
He said it was an “easy way” to influence partners, but his team, he stressed, preferred negotiations.
“My people don't want to do that. They want to make more deals than I would,” the US president added.
Earlier it was reported that, as part of the subsoil agreement, Ukraine approved the first steps to attract private investors to develop a large state-owned lithium deposit.
We previously reported that China categorically denies that it supplied weapons to any party to the conflict in Ukraine.
