The light aircraft was safely taken out of the restricted area.
A U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jet intercepted a light aircraft violating restricted airspace over President Donald Trump's golf course on Saturday.
This was reported by Reuters, citing official sources.
The incident occurred at around 2:39 p.m. local time. It was the fifth unauthorized violation of airspace in the area today.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that an F-16 fighter jet was scrambled to respond to the situation.
“The F-16 performed what is known as a 'head-on' maneuver to attract the attention of the civilian pilot,” NORAD said.
After this, the light aircraft was safely taken out of the restricted area.
Earlier it was reported that US President Donald Trump decided to demonstrate to Russian dictator Putin his readiness to take action, even at the cost of cutting off military aid to Ukraine.
We previously reported that Donald Trump is distancing himself from promises to end the war, calling the situation the “Biden deal.”
