Jen Psaki
The United States has refused to share the coronavirus vaccine with other states until it completes domestic vaccinations. This was stated by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki, quoted by RIA Novosti.
During the briefing, the spokesman was asked if Washington would agree to supply the vaccine at a possible Mexico request.
“Not. The President made it clear that his goal was to get every American vaccinated. When we reach this goal, then we will be happy to discuss the next steps, ”answered Psaki.
Earlier in February, US President Joe Biden promised to vaccinate almost all Americans by the end of July. According to him, by this time it is planned to receive vaccine doses for 300 million residents of the country. The President specified that the United States is now stocking up on the required amount of the drug.
There are currently several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. So, in Russia, in addition to “Sputnik V”, there are also registered “EpiVacCorona” from the center “Vector” and “KoviVak” from the center named after Chumakov. In the United States and Great Britain, the population began to be inoculated with the drug from Pfizer / BioNTech. In addition, U.S. authorities have approved Moderna's vaccine, and the FDA has recommended that Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine be approved for emergency use for people 18 and older.
