Sociological polls indicate equal chances of victory for Democratic and Republican candidates.

Presidential elections in the United States will not change the overall attitude towards Ukraine, as the American people continue to support the Ukrainians in their struggle for freedom.

This opinion was expressed by the Ambassador USA in Ukraine in 2006-2009, Vice President of the American Institute of Peace William Taylor, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

Speaking at a special event of the Kyiv Security Forum, launched by Arseniy Yatsenyuk's Open Ukraine Foundation, he said that currently opinion polls indicate equal chances of victory for Democratic and Republican candidates.

“President Biden's policy on Ukraine is very clear: it is support for Ukraine. But Trump's policy is less clear. Nobody knows what it will be. He often does not know what he is talking about about his policy,” Taylor noted .

The diplomat emphasized that the US Congress has full support for Ukraine.

“Congress and the American people support Ukraine and continue to support it. The $61 billion is a reflection of that strong support. And no matter who wins the US presidential election in November, the American people will continue to support Ukraine,” he said .

Taylor also commented on Putin’s recent statement on the terms of negotiations with Ukraine.

“This is a stupid statement with which Putin demands that Ukraine give up territories in order to start negotiations. I would not pay much attention to what he says, but rather what he does. We must look at what he is doing and support Ukraine, do everything so that it wins on the battlefield. And this is what we must focus on.

.

Recall that it was previously reported that in the USA they named a country that supports the Russian military machine.

In addition, we previously reported that in the United States they called Putin’s visit to the DPRK an act of despair.
