US presidential election: man with torch and flare gun arrested near Capitol

Election Day is underway in America.

Capitol security officers only arrested a man who was stopped during a check at the Capitol Visitor Center on the eve of the presidential election USA.

This is stated in a message from the Capitol Police on social networks.

“The man smelled of fuel, he was carrying a torch and a flare gun,” the message said.

The Capitol Visitor Center is closed to tours that day while police conduct an investigation.

“We will provide more information when we can,” the security forces added.

Recall that on Tuesday, November 5, voting began for the next president of the United States of America. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are vying for the job.
