US presidential election 2024: the Rada told whether it matters for Ukraine who wins

The main thing for Ukraine is to maintain bipartisan support.

The Parliamentary Committee of the Verkhovna Rada intends to strengthen its relations with the United States, regardless of whether whether the new president is a Democrat or a Republican.

This was announced by the head of the Foreign Policy Committee Alexander Merezhko, writes UNIAN.

“For us, it is not fundamentally important who exactly, what kind of person – be it, say, a representative of the Democrats, or a representative of the Republicans – is president. For us, the most important thing is to maintain the bipartisan support that we now have from the United States , and that the new president continue the line aimed at military-technical and economic support for Ukraine,” he noted.

The deputy noted that it is not yet known who will win, and this, in his opinion, is the advantage of democracy.

He believes that there is no threat and we need to wait to see who becomes president to understand what kind of foreign policy he will pursue. The politician also added that presidents usually have their own approaches, and, most likely, this will be the case in this case as well.

Recall that the Democratic Party will elect its candidate for the presidency of the United States due to online voting, which will take place before August 7.
