US police find missing tiger
The missing nine-month-old tiger was found in Houston, NBC News reported, citing a statement from local law enforcement officials.
The wild animal was spotted on May 9 in the western Houston area. It is noted that Texas law allows tigers and other dangerous wild animals, but applicants must register and keep them in a cage.
The tiger was taken away by a local resident, who, according to the police, is the owner of the predator. The man is currently detained.
The arrested man's lawyer insists that his client is not the owner of the tiger, but only occasionally cared for the animal.
Earlier, the US Wildlife Conservation Society reported that a tigress living in the Bronx New York Zoo had contracted the coronavirus.
