US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised that the State Department will consider all options for filling the Afghan economy with liquidity. His words are quoted by the DAWN edition.
He explained that Washington is actively exploring ways to “fill the pockets of Afghans with money” and has already unfreezed $ 280 million of Afghan assets that went to pay for humanitarian aid. In addition, together with other countries, the United States is working to create mechanisms that will help Afghans bypass the Taliban (the movement is recognized as terrorist and is prohibited in the Russian Federation) .
In addition, the United States has become the largest supplier of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. At the moment we are talking about the amount of $ 500 million.
This process will be simplified if the Taliban are recognized at the international level: in turn, for this, the government must fulfill a number of conditions (ensuring human rights, freedom of movement, ending revenge on former military personnel and officials, and fighting terrorism).
