A US Navy plane on a training flight in Texas collided with a bird and crashed.
At least one home was damaged.
This is reported by the New York Post.
The plane took off from Kingsville Naval Auxiliary Base and was scheduled to base Fort Werth. On the recording, the pilot is heard saying that there was an emergency and he will try to fly to the runway. Before the accident in Lake Verty, the pilot informed the dispatcher that he would not be able to reach his destination.
The pilot, cadet and instructor managed to eject. However, the parachute of one of them caught on a power line.
