US launched Falcon 9 rocket with Starlink microsatellites

The Falcon 9 launch vehicle successfully launched in Florida with a group of 60 satellites of the Starlink global Internet access system developed by the American company SpaceX, Space.com reports.

The rocket was launched from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral.

This is the 16th batch of Starlink satellites to be launched into orbit, and the seventh flight for the first stage of the Falcon 9, which, according to the publication, landed on a floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean shortly after launch.

Recall that in the future, SpaceX plans to deploy an orbital constellation of 30 thousand satellites. The company said it will have internet coverage across the entire Earth by 2021. The project cost is estimated at $ 10 billion.

Earlier, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched the scientific oceanographic satellite Sentinel-6A Michael Freilich into its regular orbit.
