According to US intelligence, the Russian military has begun training in Iran to fly drones in the past few weeks.

This is happening as part of an agreement on the transfer of drones from Iran to the Russian Federation.

This was reported by an anonymous official in the US administration, writes CNN.

“In over the past few weeks, Russian officials have been training in Iran as part of an agreement to transfer unmanned aerial vehicles from Iran to Russia,” the source said.

The interlocutor added that US intelligence information about the training of Russians in Iran was recently declassified.

According to the publication, Iran began training Russians to use Shahed-191 drones back in June and Shahed-129 at the Kashan airfield, located south of Tehran. These types of drones are capable of carrying precision-guided missiles.

Recall that in mid-July, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that they were aware of Iran's intentions to sell Russia hundreds of drones that could be used in the war in Ukraine.< /p>

The Iranian Foreign Ministry then objected that the country plans to sell hundreds of drones to Russia.
