According to intelligence, Russia will continue to interfere in the elections, as it is “interested in weakening Washington.”
“We believe that Moscow will continue to try to influence the electoral process in pursuit of its long-term goal of weakening Washington, as the Kremlin has long believed that a weakened United States would pursue a less active foreign and security policy and become more open to geopolitical deals with Russia, ”the document says.
The report also says that Russia will allegedly make attempts to interfere in the electoral process in the United States, as it believes that Washington similarly “interferes in the affairs of Russia and other countries.”
Among other things, intelligence claims that Russia supported the re-election of Donald Trump and “vilified” Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
