Politico interlocutors in the CIA criticized Biden for accusing Russia of an “invasion”

A number of representatives of the American intelligence community criticize the US authorities for numerous publications about Russia's alleged “plans” to invade Ukraine. Politico writes about this with reference to anonymous interlocutors.
In recent months, US authorities have published a number of reports, purported to be intelligence, of preparations for an “invasion,” including troops being drawn to the border. Although senior officials, including US President Joe Biden, consider such measures justified, intelligence officials are critical.
“I am concerned about how this will affect the credibility of our intelligence with all these “declassifications” in the long term. If this information turns out to be incorrect or partially incorrect, this will undermine the confidence of our partners in the information that we provide them, ”the former CIA officer was outraged in a conversation with Politico.
According to the authors of the publication, it is likely that very few people in the intelligence community hold such views so far. Nevertheless, “there is growing talk in Washington about the administration's unusual openness” about intelligence about Moscow.
