Johnson said that changes in the Congressional schedule could interfere with his meetings with Zelensky.

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed doubt about his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on September 26 during his visit to Washington.

This was reported by the Voice of America.

The Republican noted that he is not sure about his presence in Washington during President Zelensky's visit due to changes in the plans of Congress. He said that many deputies may leave the city due to a hurricane approaching the Gulf Coast, which complicates their schedule.

The day before, the office of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced changes to the Congress schedule. The final votes of the week and month will take place on Wednesday, after which congressmen and senators will head to their districts due to approaching bad weather.

Volodymyr Zelensky, while in Washington on September 26, plans to meet with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss a “victory plan” for Ukraine. A meeting with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has not yet been scheduled.

Recall that US presidential candidate Donald Trump does not plan to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week. His team emphasized that no meetings were planned.
