US President Joe Biden said he ordered the deployment of additional US forces in Europe. Thus, the States want to support their NATO allies, RIA Novosti reports, citing a statement by the head of state.
Biden recalled that he had previously promised that the United States “will defend every inch of NATO territory.” He stressed that the country's commitment to Article 5 of the North Atlantic Alliance is “unshakable.”
“I gave the order to deploy additional forces to increase our capabilities in Europe in order to support our NATO allies,” Biden said.
