For last week, analysts had expected a slight increase
In the US, crude oil inventories surprisingly fell last week. The reserves fell by 0.8 million barrels to 488.7 million barrels, as the US Department of Energy announced on Wednesday in Washington. Analysts, however, had expected an increase of 0.2 million barrels.
The petrol stocks increased by 2.2 million to 230.1 million barrels. The stocks of distillates (heating oil, diesel) fell by 1.4 million to 142.6 million barrels. According to the ministry, oil production rose by 0.1 million to 11.0 million barrels per day.
