Russia will continue to be segmented into separate regions due to Putin's destructive policies. However, the United States fears the threat of Russia's collapse and is trying to keep it within its current borders as much as possible.
Washington is hoping for an intra-Kremlin coup that will renew the political elite in Moscow. Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told Channel 24 about this.

Russia will be segmented into separate regions… It is gradually turning into a confederation, and this worries the United States very much that the collapse of Russia can happen suddenly and unexpectedly for anyone. – said Zhdanov.
He is sure that with the collapse of the Russian Federation, the existence of NATO for the United States will become inappropriate.
“Then it is possible to return to regional unions that will have both security and political and economic. Whom will NATO oppose? The United States went through this in 1991 after the collapse of the USSR,” the expert added.
In his opinion, the United States today is “playing on the verge of a foul,” since Washington is very much hoping for a palace coup in Russia. So they want to change the political elite, trying to keep Russia within the boundaries in which it exists today. In his opinion, in this process, the United States can only take into account the interests of China, given the close economic ties between the countries.
Also, according to him, the Kremlin is making a mistake by allowing federal subjects to form national battalions for the money of local budgets .
“They can play a cruel joke with the Kremlin. Local authorities, having formed these battalions, can use them at their own discretion, and not on orders from the federal authorities,” the expert noted.

“Russia will not strike NATO first”
At the same time, Zhdanov appreciated the Kremlin's statements about overturning aircraft with “Dagger” missiles in the Kaliningrad region. He is convinced that Moscow will not want to go to war against NATO countries.
Russia will never strike first at NATO. Yes, Russia is a threat to NATO. Despite the fact that, in the best case, Russia has manufactured several dozen Kinzhal missiles, but no one has actually tested them on the air defense systems of NATO member countries. This is another rise in degree. It was similar when Russia overturned the Iskanders to Kaliningrad,” the expert emphasized.
In his opinion, Russia has already run out of Caliber missiles for the Iskander complexes, so the Kremlin decided to scare NATO with “Daggers” .
“There is no 1,500 kilometers of range of destruction, 500 kilometers are left. Therefore, they will overturn several aircraft with Kinzhal missiles in order to intimidate the countries of Europe, create tension and demand a halt in the supply of weapons to Ukraine,” the expert said.
Plans for Zircons
Besides, according to Zhdanov, Moscow's statements about preparations for the production of Zircon missiles are an informational bluff.
“The Zircon missile is an intercontinental ballistic missile, so it will belong to a nuclear weapon. Before our war, it was of little use. The Kremlin can resume production today if the plant is working, but it is not known what they will put in place of the “brains” of the missile – radio electronics,” the military expert commented.
He added that these types of missiles contain a lot of components that Russia received from abroad.
“If they cannot get around the sanctions , then they are unlikely to be able to organize the release of these missiles, especially since there is no evidence that the Zircon missile has completely completed the cycle of state tests,” Zhdanov explained.
At the same time, all the rhetoric about the Zircon missiles the expert considers it to be an information attack against Western countries.
This is Russia's signature number: information stuffing must be frightening in order to terrify those who hear this news. As if tomorrow it will rain from Zircon missiles. Even if they start doing something, the capacities will not allow Russia to mass-produce these missiles in a short time. – summed up Zhdanov.
