In the United States, 36-year-old Florida resident Adam Johnson was arrested, who was seen among those who broke into the Capitol building on January 6. The Florida broadcaster WTSP reported Johnson's arrest and detention. According to the company, Johnson was jailed in Pinellas County, Florida on a federal warrant.
Johnson was arrested on the basis of a warrant issued by a federal marshal, citing data from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and the WFLA television channel. According to him, Johnson was registered as a voter in the 2020 presidential elections in Florida County Manati, while he did not indicate his party affiliation. Prior to that, Johnson voted in the presidential elections only in 2004.

The riots in Washington took place on January 6. The current US President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that the elections were held with numerous violations, and he became the winner.
On January 6, Trump supporters staged a rally of thousands. They broke through the police cordon and stormed the Capitol. After that, Vice President Mike Pence and Pelosi were evacuated from the building.
The security forces dispersed the protesters with tear gas, truncheons and firearms. The clashes killed five people, including a police officer.
