The United States has offered its assistance in investigating the plane crash.
The United States believes that the Azerbaijani Embraer 190 plane in Kazakhstan could have been shot down by a missile from the Russian air defense system.
This was reported by the coordinator of the US National Security Council Strategic Communications Director John Kirby.
“We have seen some initial indications that certainly point to the possibility that this plane was shot down by Russian air defense systems,” Kibri noted.
Recall that Azerbaijan Airlines named the preliminary cause of the crash of the Embraer passenger plane on the Baku-Grozny flight, which crashed on December 25 in Kazakhstan after an incident in the skies over the Russian republic of Chechnya.
