The US military has conducted rather unusual military exercises. So, for the first time they were using ground robots as conditional opponents.
As part of combat tests, they blocked the military path to the helipads, blocked roads, and performed other tasks. They were provided with M240 machine guns as well as Javelin anti-tank missiles.
It is worth noting that the concept of MUM-T (Manned-Unmanned Teaming – “Human-machine interaction”) is being worked out by the US military over the past few years. Within the framework of it, for example, already next year, at the exercises, the RCV-L robots will form the first line of the offensive, and only after it people will follow.
Recall that earlier there was information about interest in ground robots in other countries. For example, South Korea received two multi-purpose ground wheeled robots for testing at once. They can be used in a number of different tasks, including reconnaissance missions, transporting goods and ammunition, and evacuating the wounded.
