In the Donetsk region, the situation in the Seversky direction is extremely difficult. Russian occupiers do not abandon their attempts to advance and consolidate in the area, which is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Chief of artillery of the 90th separate airmobile battalion of the 81st airmobile brigade of the Airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Chapalika told the host of the United News telethon Vadym Karpyak about the situation in the Seversky direction.
What is the situation in the Seversky direction
— I am in the Seversky direction, namely the village of Belogorovka. If three months ago I said that the situation was difficult, then it was of medium severity. Now it has really become difficult. The enemy does not give up on attempts to advance and consolidate the area that we hold or held before. This is due to the large number of FPV drones that the enemy has, and a large number of Mavics with drops, — said a Ukrainian military man.
Now watching
According to him, Russian troops are destroying the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and are trying to knock them out of there. However, Ukrainian soldiers are also responding to the enemy.
— We have a definite Killzone, where neither the enemy nor we can advance. Unless it goes unnoticed. If we notice that the enemy is going there, then he has two options. Either he will be destroyed, or he will retreat. Of course, with losses, — emphasized Dmitry Chapalika.
Through the Druzi DShV website, anyone can send a monthly donation to the needs of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops to help our soldiers work effectively on the battlefield and quickly identify the enemy.
Dmitry Chapalika noted that Russian occupiers are trying to move unnoticed into areas that are not occupied by anyone in order to gain a foothold there.
— They can't be called assaults, but they are still there, — They try to go to areas that are not occupied by anyone. That is, the position has been destroyed, there is no way to be there. They want to enter there unnoticed, gain a foothold there, dig holes for themselves to be in. But we constantly detect them. Even if we don't detect them, over time they reveal themselves and we destroy them, — he explained.
The greatest need of the Ukrainian Airborne Assault Troops is reconnaissance drones.
— Now the biggest problem is in reconnaissance drones, namely — these are Mavic, Mavic 3 Pro, Mavic 3T. The enemy is also conducting counter-drone combat, constantly trying to detect our pilots, and inflict fire damage. As a result, a certain number of drones are lost. There are not enough of them to conduct reconnaissance and identify the enemy in time. A very great need, one might even say acute, has arisen precisely for Mavic, — noted Dmytro Chapalika.
