Italy introduces fines for unvaccinated coronavirus citizens over 50 years. The fine is 100 euros (UAH 3,108).

It is specified that the new rule will come into force on February 1, 2022. Also, from February 15, unvaccinated employees of private and public companies, as well as freelancers, will be fined. To go to work, Italians will have to show a “green passport” with a note about a booster dose of vaccination or a previous coronavirus.

Employers who face 400 to 1000 euros in fines are responsible for checking this document. the subordinate will not have a “green passport”. The employee himself faces a fine in the amount of 600 to 1500 euros.

The punishment does not apply to those who have officially confirmed contraindications to vaccination.

In addition, from January 20 to visit a hairdresser and the cosmetologist will also need to show a “green passport”, but without a mark on the booster dose, “from January 10, this rule will apply to travel in public transport, from February 1 – to government agencies, shops and banks.

Recall in Italy on January 5, mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 for people over 50 was introduced.
