The new strategy program of the listed insurance group provides for radical savings and a cut of 600 jobs.
The Management Board and the Supervisory Board of UNIQA Insurance Group AG today, Wednesday, resolved and approved an extensive strategy program for the next few years under the name UNIQA 3.0. As can be seen from this, massive jobs should also be saved.
600 employees are to be cut by 2022, most of them in Austria. However, the downsizing should go “as large as possible” through natural departures and amicable contractual solutions. A social plan has already been drawn up, according to UNIQA.
The deletions will probably add up to 110 million euros to the consolidated financial statements for this year. These expenses for restructuring measures are to be amortized by the “targeted savings” of up to 50 million euros per year.
