Scientists have discovered an unexpected consequence of the flu shot. The results of the study were published on the website of the American Heart Association.
Experts have found that the risk of death of patients with cardiovascular diseases who received a similar vaccination is 18 percent less than that of other patients. They added that those vaccinated against the flu were 13 percent less likely to have heart problems. It is noted that with the vaccination, the risk of death from other diseases was also reduced by 28 percent.
Earlier it was reported that getting a live flu vaccine could be effective against coronavirus by providing additional protection to the body. Ancha Baranova, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor at the School of Systems Biology at George Mason University (USA), said that a live flu vaccine could provide some cross-protection against coronavirus. She explained that any viral infection causes non-specific cross-protection against other viral infections at the level of T-cell immunity.
