The Kyiv hydroelectric power plant will be protected from sudden dam failure. Work continues on the possible raising of the gates of the spillway dam and, if necessary, the water will be gradually drained from the Kiev reservoir.
This was reported on the evening of February 26 in Ukrhydroenergo.
“Station personnel are on site and will not allow a sudden explosion of the dam. Accordingly, there will be no flooding in Kyiv. We ask you to remain calm and not be subjected to enemy information attacks.
In addition, the personnel of the turbine shop of the Kiev hydroelectric power plant installed a super-unit cover for hydroelectric unit No. 9. This will help to survive in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
