Ukrtransbezopasnost decided to renew the license of Ukrzaliznytsia for the transportation of passengers and dangerous goods.
On January 12, UTB received a statement from JSC UZ with information about the elimination of the grounds that led to the termination of the license.
Ukrtransbezopasnosti also informed that they received a receipt from UZ JSC confirming the payment of the fine provided for by the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
– The information provided by the railway company indicates that a large number of inconsistencies have been eliminated in full. In the process of elimination, there are still inconsistencies, the correction of which requires significant financial costs, – noted in UTB.
Taking into account the positive dynamics of elimination of inconsistencies, Ukrtransbezopasnosti decided to renew the license of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
The department stressed that in the future, the elimination of inconsistencies will be monitored monthly and will be included in the list of issues for the subsequent scheduled inspection.
Recall that earlier UTB, in accordance with order No. 1044 dated January 30, 2021, suspended the license of UZ for the transportation of passengers and dangerous goods.
UZ urgently needs to invest in repairing the critically damaged tracks.
As the president of Ukrmetallurgprom, Oleksandr Kalenkov, said, in order to avoid large-scale accidents, almost half of the 19,000 main railway lines need to be repaired.
