Ukrainians will be able to use public transport in Lithuania for free for another year: details

The corresponding decision was made by local authorities.

Ukrainian refugees in Kaunas will be able to travel at a discount on public transport in 2025. Similar decisions have been made by other major cities in Lithuania.

LRT reported this.

Refugees from Ukraine who arrived after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion will receive a 99% discount on urgent electronic tickets for travel on buses and trolleybuses throughout the next year.

To use the benefits, it is necessary to present a digital permit for temporary residence in Lithuania issued by the Migration Department, as well as an identity document issued by Ukraine.

The decision was approved in December as part of a support program for Ukrainians forced to live in Lithuania.

Recall that Lithuania supports France's idea of possibly sending Western troops to Ukraine without permission from all NATO member states.
