In Poland, law enforcement officers conducted a special operation to identify fraudsters. It took place in 10 voivodeships, the Polish police detained 21 members of an international organized crime group involved in phishing fraud, among them were citizens of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Polish Central Office for Combating Cybercrime (CBZC).
The Central Office for Combating Cybercrime of Poland detained a criminal group specializing in phishing scams. Its participants sent mass SMS messages about the need to pay an additional payment for a parcel or an electricity bill. Victims of scammers clicked on links imitated by online banking portals.
