Most Ukrainian citizens supported the legalization of cannabis. This was reported by TASS with reference to the exit poll.
In an all-Ukrainian poll initiated by the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky, 70 percent of residents supported the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes.
In September, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmitry Razumkov admitted that Ukrainian society is not yet ready to legalize short-barreled weapons, prostitution and marijuana – neither mentally, nor religiously, nor historically. Prior to that, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine admitted that the parliament could consider a bill on the legalization of medical cannabis.
