In Ukraine, they talked about the advantages of the new ACS-3M drone from the private company Skaeton, capable of effectively performing the assigned tasks in the conditions of enemy electronic warfare.
The Ukrainian edition of Defense Express writes about this with reference to an interview with Roman Knyazhenko, Commercial Director of Sketon Aviation Production Company LLC. According to a representative of the enterprise, all systems of the ACS-3M drone are designed in such a way that they are capable of performing the task even in conditions of active electronic warfare of the enemy. And if the connection with the operator is still broken, the device will be able to navigate not by the GPS signal, but by an autonomous digital map, as well as by an inertial high-precision system. What it is is not specified.
According to Knyazhenko, the drone will receive the function of movement according to weather forecast, and will be able to receive and analyze information from any source.
As noted, the main achievement in the work on the drone Knyazhenko considers his ability to mask the operating frequency of the radio exchange. And if the frequency was muted directly, Skaeton drones implemented “noise-like broadband telemetry and integrated control systems” that allow the device to automatically switch to another frequency and continue flying.
The source also reports that the manufacturer's representative said that the drone is capable of performing tasks in the operation of enemy MANPADS and other systems. According to Knyazhenko, MANPADS are not afraid of the presented drone, and systems such as the S-300 will not be able to detect and hit the drone even in manual mode. The only danger to the ACS-3M drones is the Buk system, but it will be able to fix the drone at such a distance when it will be detected by the drone itself.
