In the German city of Dorsten, a 32-year-old woman and her child, who was 1 year and 7 months old, were found dead on a forest path.

It is known that the death of the woman and child was the result of violent actions. The suspect in this was a 16-year-old Ukrainian who lives in Dorsten. It was he who went to the police and admitted his guilt.
According to the Recklinghausen police and the Essen prosecutor's office, the young man came to the scene on Sunday evening and confessed to the crime. The deceased woman was a Ukrainian citizen. The bodies were found by a random witness at around 6 a.m. on Sunday. At first she thought the woman was just sleeping, but when she called the police, the body of a child was also found in the nearby bushes.
Police have been treating the case as a violent crime from the start. There have been numerous eyewitness reports, but the exact circumstances of the incident are still being investigated. A police spokeswoman said autopsies were planned for later in the day, after which details of the injuries and the exact cause of death would be known.
Law enforcement officers are also currently checking whether this case is connected to another incident that occurred several days ago in the same area. On June 26, a 40-year-old woman was attacked on a forest path while walking with her one-year-old child to a forest cemetery. The attackers tried to take her bag and fled in a car, taking her earrings. It has been officially confirmed that there is no concrete evidence of a connection between the two cases.
