Ukrainian tennis player Ekaterina Kozlova , who ranks 144 in the WTA ranking, got married. Her chosen one was the former German hockey player, and now the coach of Michael Beindl .
Kozlova met her future husband through her mentor Christopher Kass. He invited the 35-year-old ex-hockey player to work with the Ukrainian woman as a fitness coach.
The couple started a relationship in 2020. After the wedding, Kozlova decided to perform in the WTA tour under the name of her husband. She is in the preliminary applications for tournaments in Melbourne and the Australian Open.
Michael ended his 15-year professional hockey career at 34 years old. Currently, Beindl trains the TEV Miesbach hockey team, and also plays tennis, takes part in matches at the club level and is engaged in the physical training of other athletes.
27-year-old Kozlova is the seventh racket in Ukraine. The first number among Ukrainian women remains Elina Svitolina, followed by Marta Kostyuk, Angelina Kalinina, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lesya Tsurenko and Dariya Snigur.
This year she married her beloved French tennis player Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina. The couple got married in Nyon, Switzerland. As for Elina, she decided to continue playing in tournaments under her last name, but changed it on the Instagram social network.
