Mikhail Romanchuk won a bronze medal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Romanian Otopena.

He was third in the 1,500m freestyle with a time of 14:22.18. Gold went to Irishman Daniel Wiffen, and silver — Frenchman David Aubry.
For 27-year-old Romanchuk, this is the second award at the European short course championship level. In 2017, he won a gold standard medal at the same distance.

On Saturday, December 9, qualifying for the 800 m freestyle will take place at the Euro, in which Romanchuk will take part. The final is scheduled for the final day of the competition, December 10.
For Ukraine at the current Euro, this was the third final and the first medal. Previously, our team took seventh place in the 4×50 meter medley relay, and Vladislav Bukhov finished eighth in the 50 meter freestyle.
