Ukrainian skier Valentina Kaminska tested positive for an anabolic androgenic steroid and two stimulants at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. This was announced by the International Testing Agency (ITA) on Wednesday, February 16.

All three substances are on the WADA banned list. It is noted that the sample was taken during anti-doping control during the competition on February 10 in Zhangjiakou, China.

The athlete has been informed of the case and suspended pending resolution of the issue with the World Anti-Doping Code and the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Kaminska, 34, has the right to request an analysis of the B sample and can also challenge the suspension with the Anti-Doping Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Kaminska finished 79th in the 10K classic and finished 70th in the sprint.

Kaminskaya became the second athlete to test positive in Beijing after Iranian skier Hossein Saveh-Shemshaki, who was suspended last week.
