Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev, during a discussion of the big press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin, switched to Russian on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel. RIA Novosti reports.
He pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities “left before the end of January”, despite the presence of an enemy near the borders of Ukraine. “We need a new ruling class, new deputies, not the ones that are now,” the political scientist noted, explaining that Kiev should organize re-elections.
On December 23, during a press conference, Vladimir Putin said that the Bolsheviks annexed Donbass to Ukraine by force at the time of the formation of the USSR. According to him, this is what caused the current crisis and armed confrontation in the region.
In recent weeks, statements have been made in Kiev and in the West about the threat of a Russian attack on Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow has no intentions to invade the territory of the republic.
