Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova met with the mother of politician Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as with his Ukrainian lawyer Yevgeny Hrushovets and People's Deputy of Ukraine Yelizaveta Yasko . The Ukrainian ombudsman claims that Saakashvili's health condition is deteriorating every day, and therefore he needs to be urgently hospitalized.

According to her, the family of the detained politician is concerned about the state of health of his son, who is on hunger strike for the 34th day in a row and has lost 20 kilograms of weight. “The mother fears that prolonged fasting could lead to irreversible consequences for the life and health of Mikheil,” Denisova noted.
