Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko lost the fight for the title of absolute world champion. The results are available on the World Boxing Council (WBC) website.

The fight against Teofim Lopez took place in American Las Vegas. The American won by a referee decision – 115: 114. At stake were the WBC, World Boxing Association (WBA) Super and World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight belts.
