The club noted that the next important step for strategic development was their decision to participate in the 2025/2026 season of the Baltic Hockey League.
“In this direction, we have already received full support from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation (LHF), which is the tournament’s organizer,” the statement said.
The Kyiv Capitals HC noted that they are determined to continue supporting the Kryzhinka youth hockey school in Kyiv, which they consider one of the most valuable partners of the Kyiv Capitals HC system.
There they expressed the conviction that the future of Ukrainian hockey is possible only if high-level players are developed in such schools.
The club is also working on a project to create its own ice arena: a location has been selected, the design of the arena is being completed with the participation of leading European architectural firms, and legal support is being prepared.
The Baltic Hockey League was created in 2018, with teams from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia taking part.
In the 2024/25 season, Kyiv Capitals reached the final of the Ukrainian championship playoffs, where in a tense series of seven matches they lost to Kremenchuk with a series score of 3:4.
