Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba revealed two scenarios for the development of the situation on the border with Russia – diplomatic and military. He told about this to the Ukrainian newspaper “NV”.
According to him, the first scenario consists in a game for the maximum increase in rates, a demonstration of strength. Kuleba noted that the draft agreements on the rejection of Kiev in NATO, which the Russian Foreign Ministry called a new word in diplomacy, is an increase in stakes in order to enter negotiations from a more advantageous position and get something. “And the second scenario is to prepare the ground for a local armed operation, and there they will look at the situation,” the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Ukrainian leadership is now demonstrating unpredictable actions. The Kremlin spokesman stated problems in relations between Kiev and Moscow. In his opinion, bilateral contacts were interrupted by the Ukrainian side and are now frozen. “There is something to talk about here, but we do not know how ready the Kiev leadership is, which, rather, is now demonstrating unpredictable actions,” added Peskov.
