Ukrainian drones flew near “Putin's palace” on the Black Sea coast – analyst

The residence of the owner of the Kremlin is located 18 kilometers from Gelendzhik, precisely on the stretch from Novorossiysk to Tuapse, where the drone attack was directed.

On the night of May 17, during a massive attack by Ukrainian drones aimed at Russian energy facilities in the Krasnodar Territory, the drones flew near the residence of the Russian president on the Black Sea coast, which is called “Putin’s palace.”

Military analyst, former SBU employee Ivan Stupak drew attention to this on the Freedom TV channel.

He recalled that 18 kilometers from Gelendzhik, precisely on the stretch from Novorossiysk to Tuapse, where the drone attack was directed, is located “Putin’s palace,” about which Russian investigators made a film.

“Imagine that these drones were flying in close proximity to this “Putin palace” – a place that is supposedly protected by all conceivable and inconceivable air defense means. And I assume that if the “palace” had been completed, people would have lived there dictator… He would probably have to hear these drones as they fly and use the two-wall rule,” said Ivan Stupak.

A military analyst noted that, judging by the published video footage of drone flights, the drones approached Novorossiysk with an interval of 10 seconds. At the same time, they were flying very fast and low, and they tried to shoot them down with small arms.

In his opinion, about half of the launched drones could hit certain targets. Ivaan Stupak names the oil refinery in Tuapse as a very important object, which was again hit by Ukrainian drones.

“Tuapse is the only oil refining complex on the Black Sea in the Russian Federation, one of the 12 largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation. It supplied fuel to China, Singapore, Malaysia and a number of other countries. Now, as we see, it does not work. It was damaged in January 2024. At the beginning of May it seemed to start up again, now it has arrived there again,” noted a former employee of the Ukrainian special service.

Recall that the complex of Kremlin head Vladimir Putin near Gelendzhik costs a billion dollars and is located on a cliff overlooking the Black Sea. On the territory of Putin's residence there is a church, a wine cellar and a casino. Also in this “palace” there is a hookah bar with a pylon, an arboretum and an ice skating rink for hockey games.
