Ukrainian Derevyanchenko lost to Adames and missed a chance for a title fight

Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Derevyanchenko conceded the decision of the judges to Dominican Carlos Adames . The fight took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California (USA).

The referee's notes testified to the victory of the Dominican with the score – 95:95, 97:93, 96:94.

In the starting rounds, the boxers looked closely at each other. In the middle of the second three minutes, Adames, after the uppercut, pressed the Ukrainian to the ropes. Sergei managed to return to the battle, but not without cutting.

Then Derevyanchenko stepped up and forced his opponent to act on counterattacks. In the middle of the fight, the Ukrainian managed to win the round due to active actions, but then the Dominican carried out a series of powerful blows.

In the final rounds, the Dominican was able to withstand the pressure of the Ukrainian. In the last round, Derevyanchenko rushed to the attack with all his might: the rivals exchanged accurate hits, after which the gong sounded.

The battle for the title of the WBC mandatory contender with ex-champion from Mexico Jaime Mungia was at stake.
