The policies that Donald Trump will pursue during his second term are still being developed.
The proposal of a “realistic vision of the world” voiced by Donald Trump's adviser Brian Lanza, which provides for Ukraine's renunciation of Crimea, is his personal opinion, and not the position of the elected president USA.
This was announced by a representative of the transitional administration of the newly elected US president, Reuters reports.
“Brian Lanza was brought in as an adviser to the [election] campaign. He does not work for President Trump and does not speak on his behalf,” he emphasized.
In fact, the policies that Donald Trump will adhere to during his second term are still being developed.
Earlier, Brian Lanza said in an interview with the BBC that the Trump administration will ask Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a “realistic vision of the world.”
According to him, the priority of the new administration will be establishing peace in Ukraine, and not the return of lost territories, in particular, Crimea.
During the election campaign, Donald Trump said he would find a solution to end the war “within 24 hours,” but did not explain how he would do so.
At the same time, Trump refused to rule out the possibility that Ukraine might have to cede territory to Russia, and was very vague when discussing the conflict. Some of his high-ranking allies have put forward peace proposals that would in practice lead to long-term Russian dominance over territories internationally recognized as Ukrainian territory.
Recall that American businessman Elon Musk, who was an active participant in the election campaign of US President-elect Donald Trump, predicted a quick end to the war in Ukraine.
