The Turkish company Baykar Makina intends to build a research and production center for the assembly and repair of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine.
This was announced by Deputy General Director for Investments Natalya Ozden. She claims that Baykar Makina agrees to pay for all construction and start work on the production of drones. The company also wants to create a joint industrial and technological park of defense technologies for Ukrainian and Turkish enterprises. Baykar Makina believes that this project can enrich both states.
So far, everything is at the stage of development and approval. It is not yet clear whether the drones created at the plant will go into service with Ukraine.
Recall that Ukraine is now purchasing Bayraktar drones from Turkey. In July, Turkish UAVs entered service with the country's Navy.
