Ukraine used German equipment in Kursk region: how Berlin responded

by alex

All responsibility for the use of weapons lies with Ukraine.

Berlin responded to information on the Internet that the Ukrainian armed forces could have used German tanks and infantry fighting vehicles during the operation in Kursk region.

This was stated by German Finance Minister Christian Lindner in an interview with SRF.

The politician noted that the weapons were transferred under the responsibility of Kiev. The weapons are used in the interests of Ukraine's defense, Lindner noted.

“The weapons were transferred under the responsibility of Ukraine, which is defending itself from the aggressor and exercising its right to self-defense,” the minister said.

It should be noted that the German publication Bild, having analyzed one of the videos from the Kursk region, reported that an engineering tank Wiesent based on the Leopard 1 tank was seen in the footage. This equipment had a symbol of the Ukrainian troops. German Marder infantry fighting vehicles were also spotted there.

Recall that WSJ learned whether the US helped Ukraine during the offensive. It is noted that the Joe Biden administration does not want to be perceived as the organizer of the attack on Russian territory. Therefore, Washington does not share intelligence with Ukraine about targets inside Russia.
